About Me/Carpe Life Blog

Hi there Friend, Family, or Stranger…
Fancy myself as a modern aspiring Renaissance Man, looking to get the most out of life and develop into the best possible version of myself. Am passionate about myriad topics and have historically liked to capture them for my own reference, but after enumerate conversations with family and friends, it’s clear that sharing the structured and clear approach that I like to take to various subjects, would be a benefit and hopefully spur additional dialogue and discovery for us all.  Happy reading, thanks for taking the time, please freel free to contact me.

Bring a diverse perspective, having grown up in Europe - Frankfurt, Paris, and London - before moving to Chicago, Palo Alto, Durham, NYC, LA and currently reside in Palo Alto, though still travel frequently across the country and internationally. Additionally, bring a diverse set of interests - from health and fitness (weight loss, muscle gain, endurance, etc.) to favorites (restaurants, bars/clubs, wines, travel spots, etc.) and making life easier (organizational techniques, gadgets, efficiency strategies, etc.). Day-job wise, I currently am at the Stanford GSB Sloan Program, wrapping up in June 2013. I have worked in investment management and started my career in management consulting in multiple Big 4 organizations and bring a consultative/advice framework to the blog in breaking down enormous amounts of information into actionable pieces. Having worked with nutritionists, coaches, personal trainers, and read everything I can get my hands on in terms of fitness/nutrition and lifestyle improvement, I believe there is a great deal of clutter/confusion out there - am hopeful to help provide clarity for others as I have for myself. Further, after getting through Thyroid Cancer in May of 2010, health/fitness, living life to the fullest, as well as participating in cancer education/charitable organizations became my top priorities.
